Join us for a quiet writing session on our Discord server.

What do we mean by quiet writing session? Hangout in our voice chat channel and vibe to our lofi screen. Others will be working quietly on their writing projects alongside you. This session gives you a straight hour of writing time without distractions while still allowing you to be motivated by others working. This session is great for motivation and those who prefer lurking in sessions.

We allow open chatting before and after the session to give people a chance to meet, talk, and ask questions about all things writing. Join the Discord server for some productive writing time!

These sessions occur every second Friday of the month from 7 – 8 P.M. CST.

How Do I Join These Free Writing Sessions?
All you need to do is join our Discord server using the link under “Details” and hop on over to the voice channel “writing meetups.”

Do I have to Turn My Camera On?
Not if you don’t want to! But it helps to get to know each other and become part of the Author’s Grove community.

Do I have to Turn My Mic On?
Not if you don’t want to! You can always use the chat to talk and ask questions.

Do I Need to Share My Writing with Others?
Nope! These writing sessions are meant to help you crank more words out. We may have designated days for live workshops in the future, but for now what you write at our sessions is for your eyes only.

What Kind of Writing Can I Do?
We focus on creative writing, primarily fiction novels. However, feel free to work on poetry or creative non-fiction!

Can I Join Late/Leave Early?
Absolutely. We understand that everyone’s schedules can be tight, so pop in whenever is convenient for you.
