2024 Author’s Grove Writing Retreat

Meet us in Fredericksburg!
Join us on a cozy writing retreat in Fredericksburg, Texas to work on your novel, get actionable feedback for improving your story, and network with other writers. There is also time set aside for you to explore the local area, so that you can get the most out of your trip. And if you still need something to help you relax? We’ll be offering free massages for all attendees.
There are two types of tickets available for this retreat. A shared-space communal-style room and board to help you save money, or a private queen room to give you any privacy that you need during the week.

What to Expect
Growth
Spend time focusing on what matters the most to you as a writer: your novel. At the retreat, you’ll have dedicated time for writing and increasing the word count of your book. But that’s not all. You’ll also be able to:
- Attend learning sessions with writing tips and tricks
- Discover more about your characters with peer interviews
- Get direct feedback on a chapter of your novel in a roundtable-style workshop
Explore New Locations
Venture into the heart of Texas Hill Country to discover the quaint city of Fredericksburg. Rich with German heritage, the city provides a refreshing atmosphere with historic buildings and museums, delicious foods, energizing outdoor activities, and a number of award-winning wineries. Get ready to:
- Taste delicious foods, including a must-try local German restaurant
- Explore shops on the historic and beautiful Main Street
- Enjoy a wine-tasting at Wildseed Farms
- Breathe in some fresh air while hiking at Enchanted Rock
Networking
Develop new friendships and network with fellow writers at the retreat. You’ll have time to:
- Learn how other writers tackle challenges, what tools they use to aid them when working on their novel, and what advice they may have for getting published.
- Stay connected before and after the retreat in a special Discord channel for your writing retreat cohort
- Make new lifelong friendships with the other writers that attend
